Art Deco Museum

This morning we walked down to the Convento de San Esteban which includes a large church. The facade of the church looks like an altar with a depiction of San Esteban (St Stephen) being stoned by a mob. We didn’t bother going inside. We’ve seen and will see enough churches.
At 11 am the Museo de Art Nouveau y Art Deco opened. It was free to get in and well worth going to see. It wasn’t that big but had numerous sculptures, paintings and Art Deco pieces displayed in a gallery with a stained glass roof and many stained glass windows. Most of the art was from the 1920s and 1930s. Very beautiful. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to take any pictures.
After our visit there, we regrouped in our room and then went out for lunch. We tried a new tapas bar for one round and then went back to the Cuatro Gatos for another round. After that we bought some big meat and sausage empanadas which we ate in the breakfast area of our hotel. We’ll probably go out tonight for one last wander around.
Tomorrow we take the train to Segovia. We’ve included a few more pictures of Salamanca. Great place to visit.
